Electrical and Electronic Appliances.

The Ngubong 203 anti-outage device:

It can keep your household appliances like television sets and other household appliances including a few economy light bulbs working after a power outage for over 20 hours. It automatically recharges its self when power returns. This hooked onto a computer will enable you to do much more than shut down your files when there is a power outage.

It can be use to charge car and lorry batteries just by connecting a cable to the cigarette lighter socket of you car or lorry.

It has night and day sockets which provide electricity at night and day respectively not by timing it by actually detecting the darkness.

It contains actuators for a manually operated alarm which you can activate in case of attack by robbers and wake up the whole neighbourhood.

It can be used outside the grid by coupling to a wind turbine, solar panel, micro-hydro scheme, solar thermal, biogas fuelled heat engine or even animal power.

To the left we see the internal circuits of the Ngubong 203 device.

Left: A multi-socket made from wood. For the cost of one of the imported plastic multi-sockets, more than ten can be made by using locally available materials. By promoting this and other initiatives like the bamboo bicycle initiative the forest can be better protected. And above, is a typical econmic light bulb. However, the most recommended are the LED based bulbs. They usually only consume a few watts.

The Ngubong 103 on the other hand is a divice made for motorists and motocyclists. It can be connected to the car battery through the cigarette socket or any other specially adapted socket. It then produces 220 volts AC to power the house in the vilage in a very economical way by taking less than 5 W of electricity if lighting along is being used, and if LED bulbs are employed. In order to prevent abusive use, the frequency of the AC  is higher than 50 Hz, thus paking a loud sound if anybody tried to connect a television set for instance.

It also comes in handy in case of amechanical problem at night on the motoway. That is where the reflector will be useful. See picture on the left.

There are many opportunities in the energy sector.

Here are a few examples .

A) The demand of electricity far exceeds  the supply . this leads sometimes to power rationing .The consequences to the users  are frequent Power outages which not only interrupt work in offices, workshops and factories, but  damages many expensive equipment . NGUBONG ENGINEERING has developed the NGUBONG203 anti-autage device which in a home can act as backup power in case of power outage for over 10 hours. More over the transition from mains supplies to NGUBONG 203 takes place within a few milliseconds thus no device will have to switch off and on again. The only way you’d know there is a power outage is by observing the indicator lights of NGUBONG203 .

B) The same device NGUBONG 203 can be used as an internal accessory to solar panels or wind turbines or even micro hydro schemes.

C) NGUBONG203 is also built with and internal alarm circuit working with external sirens. There are also light and darkness sockets which provide power only during the daylight and night respectively.

D) More than 70% of the populations are in rural environment which for the most part are too far from the national grid .NGUBONG ENGINEERING is ready with willing financial partners to provide readily available and affordable power for these communities so that they too could benefit from information and telecom revolution. We are talking about vertical axis and horizontal axis wind turbines, micro hydro schemes , small steam turbines operated from wood or producer gas from a gasifier , ordinary gen sets specially adapted to run on methane gas (bio-gas) from toilets or with reconverted diesel engines running on vegetable oil or even diesel engines powered generators running on bio-diesel.

Special devices can be attached to bicycles and motorbikes or vehicles to enable them as they go about to charge batteries which can then be specially arrranged for lighting or recharging mobiles phones. In some villages people sometimes have to pay to have their phone charged. Some time that may be half of what they earn in a day.

Nowadays in Africa the mobiles phone is a very useful tool. it is used for voice communications ,  internet access , money transfer money saving, banking operations, medical consultations, information searching etc……….. So providing the possibilities of using the phone in the suburban environment will definitely change the lives of many .

We are looking for any investor who is willing to invest in an manner compatible  with Islam, either in this energy scheme , some aspect of it or  any of the other possibilities in the agricultural sector .An executive summary of the energy project can be provided to any potential investor who shows a clear willingness  to invest.

E) Another project not in the agriculture sector this time is the manufacture of wooden boats for fishing, passengers and goods transportation and tourism. Currently the most expensive part of locally made marine vessels in the outboard engine .Sometimes 7 times the cost of the rest of the vessels .Giving the small number of these,  the unit cost has to be high. We saw the same phenomenon with standby generators when the demand of electricity was low and below supply, few people bought stand by generators .

The cost then was prohibitive. Since the power outages have increased, the demands for gen sets have also increased, so we have noticed we have noticed a steady drop in prices . One product which already comes in great numbers are cars and car engines .

Their costs are therefore  much lower than out-board engines. some times less than 1/10  of the cost of out-board engines . My proposal is to power locally made boats with car engines. The boat will be designed property with all the bouncy and dynamic calculations done ( that is not the case now) and models will be made and tested before producing the final product .Hydro foil vessels , and others adaptation, like sale driven as well as engine driven will be introduced

If you happen not to be concerned with any of the above. We can also study your own sector to see if it offers any opportunities here even if you want to import products from Africa  semi finished and finished . if you are interested in investing in any of the above or to have your own project studies please  call NGUBONG  ENGINEERING on 237 99 91 73 39  or 237-678856211
